Idafe Bautista - Drum Tutor

Idafe Bautista is a multi-instrumentalist musician of Spanish origins mainly specialised on percussion.

Idafe began his musical studies at the age of seven as a saxophonist on a small island in the Canary Islands. Five years later he would leave the saxophone to study other instruments such as drums and guitar, thus creating his first rock bands with which he would play for years.

Once finished high school, Idafe would take his musical studies to the next level to be accepted at the Gran Canaria Conservatory of Music, where he would end up graduating with honors a few years later. During this period he also founded his jazz quartet and would begin his first experiences as an orchestral percussionist.

After finishing his studies in Gran Canaria, Idafe began his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he then began to study with big names in the world of percussion such as Eric Sammut, Kurt-Hans Goedick or Chris Lamb.

In the three years that Idafe has been in Scotland, he has collaborated with most of the major orchestras in the country such as RSNO, NYOS, BBC Scotland. He is currently finishing his studies at RCS.
