Ariana Black - Piano & Violin

Ariana is originally from Aberdeenshire, and went to Aberdeen City Music School, studying piano with Peter Evans and violin with Guera Crockett, achieving Grade 8 distinction in both instruments before leaving school. She is an active orchestral violinist and has played with the likes of the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland Symphony Orchestra, Aberdeen City Orchestra, and Amicus Orchestra in concert halls around Scotland.

 

Although her training lies primarily in classical music, Ariana is also passionate about Scottish Traditional music and has played fiddle and piano in ceilidh bands around Scotland, most recently at Belladrum Tartan Heart festival in the Highlands.

 

Ariana is currently studying a Bachelor of Education with honours in music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.
