Konstantinos Pavlopoulos is a passionate piano tutor, performer, and composer with over five years of private teaching experience and six years performing with wedding bands and traditional Greek folk ensembles. Beginning as a self-taught musician, Konstantinos later completed his classical studies at the Nakas Conservatory in Athens. He went on to earn a Music Level 6 NC from Edinburgh College, followed by a BA (Hons) in Contemporary and Popular Music (W301) from Newcastle University. He also completed a masterclass in sound engineering at DBS Institute (part of Falmouth University) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Contemporary Music and Sound Production at the University of the West of Scotland.

In addition to teaching, Konstantinos is an active composer, with 22 original soundtracks published across all major platforms. You can explore his work on his YouTube channel.

His teaching philosophy is deeply inspired by musicologist Christopher Small’s idea that musicking is a natural human activity, accessible to everyone. Konstantinos encourages students to recognise that musical growth reflects personal growth: discipline, positivity, and self-reflection are key to both. He teaches music theory with an emphasis on sheet music interpretation, helping students discover their own creativity within the repertoire.

Konstantinos specialises in preparing students for graded exams, using their structure to build strong technical and musical foundations. Beyond the syllabus, he supports students in overcoming performance anxiety, developing confidence, and expressing themselves authentically. He teaches classical, pop, jazz standards, and traditional Greek music, and works with learners of all ages and backgrounds.

For Konstantinos, teaching music is a way to help students find their voice, develop resilience, and ultimately contribute to a more empathetic and connected society.
