Lee Young - Violin Tutor

Lee Young is a versatile violinist with interests and experience across Baroque, Classical, Contemporary and folk music.

 

They studied violin at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Ruth Crouch and Greg Lawson, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Performance with honours of the first class in 2024.

 

During their studies they gained experience across contemporary, symphonic, opera and ballet music settings.

 

Lee is currently based in Glasgow, working as a freelance musician, performing and teaching. As a member of the cross-genre string ensemble Mother Tongues they play, arrange, and compose folk music. They are currently working with Glasgow-based composers and performers on a series of concerts pairing new music and existing repertoire
