Mireia Pastor Pico, born in 2003 in Muro, Mallorca, has been immersed in music since childhood. She trained at the Conservatorio de Palma de Mallorca, where she cultivated her love for the piano and built a strong foundation. Surrounded by music from an early age, she developed a deep appreciation for performance, shaping her artistic identity as a pianist.

With a professional singer as a father, it was no surprise that Mireia began her formal education at the age of six, studying piano at the Escuela de Música Miquel Tortell. By 2015, she continued her training at the Conservatorio de Palma de Mallorca, performing at venues such as the St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort, ACA Foundation, and Music School Musicalens.

At the age of 16, Mireia gained a full scholarship to study at St Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh, where she studied under the experienced guidance of Elena Fischer-Dieskau. In 2017, she performed with the Young Rotary Orchestra of Mallorca under the baton of José María Moreno and Bernat Quetgles, showcasing her skills at various auditoriums across the island.

In addition to her individual accomplishments, Mireia often collaborated with her pianist brother, Alberto Pastor . One notable performance was for the Rotary Club’s annual Christmas Concert in 2018. A review published in Diario de Mallorca stated, “the audience that filled the hall of the foundation came out delighted by the beauty of the works and the interpretive strength of the siblings.”

The year 2022 marked her participation in Cabaret Havana, a British Youth Music production, working with Barnaby Southgate and Eliane Correa. This period also saw her recording at Calma Estudis Spain and attending masterclasses with the reputable pianists Dani Driver and Giuseppe Devastato.

Mireia has been recognised in various international competitions, such as the WPTA Spain International Competition and Vienna New Year’s International Competition. She has recently performed at Wellington Church of Scotland and The Barony Centre, further establishing her presence in the Scottish classical music scene. Currently, she is refining her skills at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying with the world-class pianists Sinae Lee and Nicolas Ashton.
