HOW TO ORDER YOUR RSL DIGITAL BOOK + LEARNING PLATFORM

After careful consideration and extensive discussions with RSL (Rockschool Limited), we have made the strategic decision to transition away from the current version of the RSL Learning Platform. We understand and appreciate all the efforts made with the current model, but we’ve encountered a series of challenges that have made it clear we need to explore a new, more reliable solution.

Over the past few months, our dedicated Management Team has put in tremendous effort, meeting with RSL both before and after the summer break to resolve the issues we’ve been facing with the Learning Platform. Despite our best efforts, it has become evident that the problems currently outweigh the benefits, with no clear resolution in sight. As a result, we have made the executive decision to seek a better, long-term solution.

Our primary goal is to provide your child with an exceptional learning experience—one that continues to harness the advantages of the Learning Platform without the accompanying headaches and frustrations. Through constructive negotiations, we have secured an exciting alternative for our students.

DIGITAL BOOKS:

Our students will have access to digital versions of the Gradebook, tailored to their specific grade level. This digital resource will grant them access to the Learning Platform content aligned with their current grade.

MAIN CHANGES:

We are excited to share some important updates regarding the move to Digital-Gradebooks and the new Learning Platform.  Please take a moment to review the following key changes:

1. A Personal Log-In (Your Own Email):

You will no longer be able to log in through the app or our previous our bishopbriggsschoolofmusic@hotmail.co.uk email address. Instead, you will use your own email to purchase the Gradebook and subsequently for Log-in. After purchasing the book, you will receive a follow-up email from RSL with instructions on how to set up your personal account with them. This new approach ensures a secure connection to your learning materials.

2. Log In Through www.rslawards.com:

Another significant change is that you will no longer access your downloads through the RSL Learning Platform App. Instead, please visit www.rslawards.com and log in to your account from there. Notably, there is no need for a PIN. Upon logging in, you will be directed to a dashboard where you can easily access your files and learning platform.  Click on "Access Resources & E-Books" as in Photo 1 (see below).

This is the section where you can conveniently download your PDF version of the book, audio files, and access the new RSL Learning platform. To access the Learning Platform, simply click on the RSL Learning Platform logo, which can be found beside or beneath your other files, as illustrated in Photo 2 (see below).

3. No Longer Able to Send Homework or Submit Videos to Tutor:

With these changes, it is important to note that tutors will no longer have the capability to send homework directly or receive student recordings through the platform. This decision has been made to address issues experienced with the previous version of the Learning Platform and to create a more seamless learning experience for all.

We believe that these changes represent a significant step forward in enhancing your child's learning journey with the digital books and the Learning Platform. We highly recommend that all books ordered through BSM should be digital versions of the Gradebook, ensuring access to the Learning Platform. However, if you prefer a physical copy, you can also place an order through the provided button on this page or via the link sent to you via text.

PLEASE NOTE:

As part of our commitment to transparency, we would like to emphasise that by purchasing your grade book through the provided link, you are supporting the Bishopbriggs School of Music. We receive a small commission for every book bought through this link. Importantly, this commission does not affect the book's price in any way; you will pay the same price regardless of where you purchase. The funds generated from this commission will be dedicated to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Music School.

We appreciate your ongoing support and look forward to these positive changes in our digital learning experience. If you have any questions or require assistance with the new process, please do not hesitate to reach out to us on 0141 772 4333.
